Neem, the ancient Indian tree is commonly known as the “Wonder Plant” because of its medicinal value. The de-oiled neem cakes are being used in Indian traditional cultivation as an organic fertilizer as well as a natural nematicide.
The salannin, nimbin and azadirachtin compunds in neem acts as a pest repellent protecting the root growth. They are also rich in nitrogen, phosporous and other micro nutrients with a slow nutrient release, meaning the plants get the required nutrients through out their growth cycle. During decomposition, they release organic acids which decreases the alkalinity of the soil.
Better water retention and enhances the soil structure with more aeration for the roots. It can be safely used for all plant types incl. fruit, vegetable and flowering plants.
